John Setzer

John Setzer, attorney, brings a broad life perspective and practical approach to his practice of law, shaped by living internationally in Germany and South Korea and throughout the United States before settling in Irving, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University and began his professional career in Information Technology, where he spent thirteen years developing strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-service skills.

Motivated by a desire to help individuals navigate important life decisions, John earned his Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law. He initially practiced family law, assisting clients with divorce, child custody, child support, and enforcement matters, and later served as a Felony Prosecutor in Johnson County, Texas, gaining valuable courtroom and litigation experience.

John now focuses his practice on probate and estate planning, helping individuals and families protect their assets, plan for the future, and confidently navigate estate administration. He is known for providing clear, practical guidance that helps clients understand their options and make informed decisions.
